Experience a Traditional Japanese Tea Ceremony

Join the DMV Tea Enthusiasts meetup group and step into the quiet beauty of Chado (also known as Chanoyu). You will get to experience the centuries-old Japanese Way of Tea during this intimate, one-hour demonstration held in Washin’an, an authentic Japanese tearoom in DC.
During this guided demonstration:
A host will prepare tea in the traditional manner
Each guest will receive a sweet
An MC will gently guide you through the ceremony, sharing cultural and historical context and answering questions along the way
